What are you doing with your file cabinets of documents?

Hello, everyone. While managing a project to scan and index legacy documents, I’ve become acutely aware that we all have a lot of paper stuffed somewhere that is taking up a lot of floor space we could probably put to better use. There are an increasing number of ads encouraging us to scan those “just arrived” pieces of paper into our system just as soon as we get them. That’s good, but what about those file cabinets that are taking up half our office space? Just curious, how are all of you handling this challenge? I found some information on how long we should all be keeping certain documents that I will share with you on a later post. While I’m at it, what are you doing about your old military records or health records that you must keep forever and ever?
